Everlasting Daisy / Paper Daisy / Strawflower TOM THUMBS MIXED 

(Helichrysum bracteatum)

Known as an 'everlasting' because the flowers will last indefinitely when dried. Both the colour and shape will last indefinitely. 

Helichrysum bracteatum (Everlasting Daisy / Paper Daisy / Strawflower) is the most well-known and is probably the best of all the everlasting flowers. 

This variety produces mixed coloured daisy like-flowers of papery texture and appearance reach up to 6.5 cm wide.

 – it is an annual flower plant suitable for border rockeries and bedding 40cm tall dwarf mixture, 

The flowers bloom from mid-summer right up to frost; they prefer a full sun position and will do well in poor to average soils. They tolerate heat and drought conditions and can survive light frosts. 

The plants will bloom non-stop from ten weeks after sowing in the greenhouse and will continue to flower until frost gets them in the landscape. 

Everlasting Daisies make one of the finest subjects for bouquets, apart from being useful for beds and borders. They are also excellent dried flower; papery flowers give an excellent natural colour.

Sowing Instructions 

Sow in Spring on the surface in a seed tray, cover with cling wrap with few holes. Need indirect light & 22-25°C. Water with a spray bottle, Germinates in 2-3 weeks
