🪴Spring sowing
Spring sown seeds need to be germinated. First, soak the seeds in 40°C warm water for 24 hours, remove them and dry them, then sow them to induce germination. When most of the seeds turn white, they can be sown. Generally, the suitable sowing period in northern Xinjiang is early April and the suitable sowing period in southern Xinjiang is early March.

🪴Autumn sowing
Autumn sowing is done directly without germination, usually in early November. Seedlings emerge the following spring. Autumn sowing generally has neater seedlings and faster growth than spring sowing.

🧑‍🌾Pot plant management
✅Flower pot selection: For sowing, it is advisable to use a 20×20cm tile pot with a bottom hole for cultivation. Place more tiles on the bottom of the pot to facilitate water penetration. In the future, the pot should be changed once a year.

✅Soil configuration: Pot soil can be garden soil: humus soil = 1:1, mixed with a small amount of sand and compound fertilizer. When potting, place the original soil ball completely into the new pot, add culture soil, and water thoroughly.

✅Sufficient light: Potted clematis should be cultivated in full sunlight from the autumn of the first year to the early spring of the second year, without shading. After entering summer in June, you can use a sunshade net to avoid strong light exposure. Otherwise, the strong light in hot summer will cause the leaves of clematis to age and turn yellow, causing poor growth. Moreover, if the flower pot receives strong light for a long time, the soil temperature will rise, causing "root burning" and dead seedlings.

✅Watering management: Just keep the pot soil moist during the growing season. Avoid watering too much, otherwise the roots will easily rot. In summer, spray water on leaves and ground appropriately to humidify and cool down.

✅Fertilization management: Apply phosphate fertilizer every half month or so during the peak growth period in spring and autumn.

🔆Environmental selection: For clematis ground planting, you should choose a place with slightly higher terrain, good drainage, a little shade and no western sun.

🔆Soil configuration: First use stones or rubble as a base to facilitate drainage, mix the excavated soil and humus at a volume ratio of 1:1, mix in a small amount of compound fertilizer and backfill.

🔆Transplantation management: Remove the clematis seedlings from their pots and plant them in the holes together with the soil balls. Water them thoroughly. Make a 15 cm high soil bank around the planting holes to facilitate watering during drought.
